So since I have no life these days, for the past month or so, I've been skating with the homies from my neighborhood every single day. And today on my way home I see little jose and his grandma talking to the police at the park. I figured he just got a ticket for skating or something. When I get home. The crew is posted in front of my house like they are everyday. Devin walks up and tells me that he was with jose and junior at the park and these two chinese teenagers ran up on them and they jumped jose and took his money and mp3 player. I felt bad as fuck. Collin says if I was there that wouldn't have happened. He's right I wouldn't them pick on some kids thats fucked up. So junior and martel rolls up. I tell junior lets go to the park. We post at the park thinking we would find these kids but didn't see anyone. So we headed back.
Ever since skating with them I've been like their big bro, looking out for them, letting them borrow my board, and teaching them new tricks. Its only right to help them out.
A week ago I applied for a gig at the American Cancer Society. I wasn't to keen about the gig. Non-profits require past experience in that sector, which I dont' have but I tried anyway. A couple days later, I get a call from Marcy about the inquiry. She mentions she wants me to hop aboard and that she needs to run a background check and so forth. And she needed me to start on May 1st. In my mind, I was like "shit, im down, but I just got a DUI" so I figured it would counter-act the process and I wouldn't be able to hop on. Surprisingly it didn't. Just a moment ago, Marcy calls and tells me that I start tomorrow. It works out well because it pays more than Academy Art but not as much as PG&E would've. Its cool I'll be working for a good cause and be able to pay my fines a lot sooner.
